Ischemic Comtracture associated with CO Poisoning

Abstract
Ischemic contracture, an episode more commonly encountered with supracondylar humeral fracture, can occasionally be observed in the patients with unconscious mental state. The authors could observe two such cases, in which the mild ischemic contracture could definitely be diagnosed in each forearm of the two patients who fell into coma with CO poisoning. The response to conservative physical therapy was gratifying. It seems that immediate intensive oxygen therapy and restoration of the impaired local circulation of the arms crumpled and compressed under the weight of the patient¢¥s heads warranted good recovery.
